Hello everyone! We are Chaaya, RVITM's Media and Mass Communication Club. We want to create a space thriving with diverse thoughts and perspectives. We want you to speak of your thoughts without any worry or inhibition.
Every person's mind is flooded with endless thoughts and ideas. Within this pool of thoughts, there are often rare ones that are worth being told. But they are often sidelined because of barriers one builds around themselves. This is where we come in. We want to help you voice out your thoughts and ideas beyond these barriers. We want you to follow the light, doing what makes you happy. The light that exposes your shadow, what you are truly within. This is where we derive our club's name, "Chaaya", which, in its literal sense, translates to "Shadow".
You see your shadow only when you journey towards the light. There is no shadow without light, there are no perspectives without people. We want to accompany you in your journey towards the light, towards letting your inner self speak. This is where you can connect and collaborate with like-minded people.
To make this possible, we need the help of individuals willing to make this commitment. As Mary Crowley once said, "One person with a commitment is worth more than 100 people who have only an interest". For those who are 'the one' equal to a 100, we have created this handbook, where we try to give a gist of how we work as a club. We have put in here our mutual expectations and responsibilities as members of this club. We are eagerly waiting to join hands with those of you who want to help us make a difference
