Providing and receiving feedback within the team is absolutely essential to improve our combined output. It is a mechanism to improve each other’s work, which helps us to grow and improve as a team.
- Feedback can convey praise, criticism, advice or suggestions. No matter what the nature of your feedback is, the tone and means used while conveying it should not be disrespectful.
- Good feedback successfully conveys the highs or lows of one's work with zero confusion, paving the way for improvement.
- Sharing positive feedback praising your fellow teammates encourages them to perform better at their tasks and often makes them feel better about themselves.
- Work towards creating a safe environment where your teammates feel comfortable to share feedback.
- Share your thoughts as soon as an event or project is completed. This will make way for effective communication of the problem you have identified.
- When giving feedback, be specific. This makes it easily understandable and does not create a lot of confusion.
